The L96 is a purpose built sniper rifle rather a modified general purpose rifle fitted with a scope, it is regarded as one of the best in the world. It has been in service by military and government agencies worldwide since it’s inception in the early 80′s by the British Army. In 1982 it was revised to the L96A1 and adopted by the Sweden Armed Forces due to their need of a rifle that could survive arctic environments. UTG’s L96 is built just like the real thing, it has two high strength hollow polymer halves bolted together over an aluminum frame, providing extreme strength and durability. This thing is a beast with the entire barrel, receiver, bolt, bolt handle, trigger, safety switch, both magazines, mag release, front & rear sling mounts, bi-pod quick release, tri-rail bi-pod mount, and bi-pod are ALL METAL!!! This is NOT your average airsoft gun,it weights in at almost 10 lbs and is over 4 feet long, with over a 450fps muzzle velocity and effective range of 200ft.
